Fill Backpacks To Feed Hungry Children

The Beaver knows that our #1 Country Fans care for kids.  Help us feed kids who don't have enough to eat.

Hungry kids in our community get a good lunch at school, for free or for a low price.  But they don't go to school on Saturday and Sunday, and they need food at home then.  More than 1,400 kids in our area depend on the Backpack Program through Feeding America, and you can help.

The Beaver has joined forces with Hughes & Coleman to fill backpacks for hungry children.  Drop off your donations in Bowling Green at Hughes & Coleman on Campbell Lane, or bring them by the Beaver studio on Scottsville Road.

If you're not sure what kinds of foods to donate, here's a list to get you started.
  • canned fruits
  • raisins
  • applesauce
  • dried fruits
